Westworld Goes to the Real World in First Trailer for Season Three
HBO has released the first trailer for the third season of their sci-fi hit Westworld, and for the first time, we will be outside of the park and experiencing the real world. Newcomer Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) is the focus of the episode as his character talks about how he feels stuck in this world. He feels like “the world is alright,” but recognizes that things only appear that way on the surface. He wishes for something more. Something real. Unfortunately for him, his “something real” is far from it as he comes across Dolores.
The finale of the second season hinted that the show would be leaving the park moving forward, so it will be interesting to see how things have progressed since then. Dolores and company had succeeded in their goal to be free of Westworld, but now the second step in her master plan can unfold. In the end, she wanted to rule the human world as well. The Hosts have far exceeded Ford and Arnold’s expectations, and in the worst possible way. Now they’re free to dismantle the real world.
The third season of Westworld is set to air on HBO in 2020.
