‘IT: Chapter Two’ Delivers a Terrifying First Trailer

27 years after the terrifying events of the first film, we have our first look at the Loser’s Club returning to Derry, Maine. Warner Bros. has just dropped the very first teaser for the highly-anticipated upcoming horror sequel IT: Chapter Two.

In the trailer below, we Jessica Chastain as the grown-up version of Beverly coming to terms with her past while she is revisiting her childhood home. We also get a peak at the Loser’s Club all grown up but clearly still trying to cope with the horrors that haunt them from their childhood in the sleepy New England town. The trailer is chilling, and we can’t wait to see more. Check out the first look at IT: Chapter Two below.

The film’s official description reads as follows: “Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, “IT CHAPTER TWO” brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film. James McAvoy (“Split,” upcoming “Glass”) stars as Bill, Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty,” “Mama”) as Beverly, Bill Hader (HBO’s “Barry,” “The Skeleton Twins”) as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa (TV’s “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments”) as Mike, Jay Ryan (TV’s “Mary Kills People”) as Ben, James Ransone (HBO’s “The Wire”) as Eddie, and Bill Skarsgård returning in the seminal role of Pennywise. Andy Bean (“Allegiant,” Starz’ “Power”) plays Stanley, and reprising their roles as the original members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Martell as Bill, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, and Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie.”

In addition to the first trailer, the film dropped a creepy new poster. The poster is simple, but it’s enough to strike fear in anyone who saw the first film. It’s Pennywise’s hand gently holding not one, but two of his iconic red balloons. Check it out below.

Andy Muschietti is back again to direct the sequel once again written by Gary Dauberman. The screenplay is based on the novel IT written by the legendary Stephen King. Barbara Muschietti, Dan Lin and Roy Lee are producing the film with Marty Ewing, Seth Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg as executive producers.

IT: Chapter Two begins to terrorize theaters on September 6, 2019. Are you ready?
