Fans Sound Off After Disrupted Viewing of ‘The Walking Dead’ on DirecTV
Many fans of The Walking Dead are disappointed with DirecTV for a disrupted viewing of Sunday night’s episode of the show.
Dead aired perhaps its darkest and most disturbing episode in years, which featured its leading lady Michonne (Danai Gurira) faced with the tough decision to fight children. For some viewers, the experience was less than good, as commercials were littered where they clearly shouldn’t have been.
One example of the glitch made it seem as though after some rising tensions at Alexandria, they settled their differences with a groovy dance party.
Had to share the ridiculous glitch during #TheWalkingDead tonight. The tension is at an all time high and then it cuts to this and I was so confused for a few seconds 😂 pic.twitter.com/yuU1EPEV4X

One fan account showed an image of one of the commercials which was an ad for Match.com:
Other fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment.
@ATT thanks to direct tv for completely messing up the walking dead #twd tonight with misplaced and frequent commercials. Time for sling I think…

Is it just directtv or what? Trying to watch The Walking Dead and during the show it keeps jumping in and out of commercials. What the hell is going on?

One fan tweeted at the network explaining that the disrupted viewing was happening on the live broadcast, and not even on the streaming app.
@DIRECTV just wanted you to know that commercials are playing over parts of The Walking Dead on AMC and we are losing parts of the show because of it….it’s not happening on the Direct TV App, but on the actual broadcast…..any reason why???

So far DirecTV has not addressed the interruption, but fans are definitely having fun with it.
