‘The Good Doctor’ Alum Chuku Modu Shares a Sneak Peek at His ‘Captain Marvel’ Character

Captain Marvel has officially landed and is already breaking records at the box office. In its opening weekend alone, the first female-led Marvel Studios film raked in $153 million in North America and $455 million worldwide! Fans from all walks of life are racing to the theaters to see the latest Marvel spectacle, and if you also happen to be a fan of ABC’s The Good Doctor, you’ll want to keep an eye for a very familiar face.

In July of last year, news broke that The Good Doctor fan-favorite Chuku Modu landed a role in the Marvel film just shortly after his departure from the series was announced. At the time, not much was known about the film, including the full cast or characters represented in the film. Now that the movie is officially in theaters, Modu shared a little sneak peek at his Captain Marvel character.

Modu posted a photo of himself in character via his Instagram account with the caption, “Man like Soh-Larr. Fun super small cameo. Go watch the queen @lashanalynch shine. #captainmarvel”

According to Marvel’s Fandom Wiki, Soh-Larr is an ultra-warrior of the Kree army during the first Kree-Skrull war. Of course, Modu is no stranger to playing a warrior on screen. In addition to his role on The Good Doctor, fans may also know Modu from his role as Dothraki warrior Aggo on HBO’s Game of Thrones. He can now add the Marvel universe to his growingly impressive resume.

Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Lee Pace, Gemma Chan, and Djimon Hounsou. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck directed the film which was written by Boden and Fleck as well as Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Liz Flahive, and Carly Mensch.

Captain Marvel is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
