The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard is officially in production, and the stars appear to be having a blast on set.
Samuel L Jackson has been posting images of his characters famous tattoos from the makeup chair to Instagram in some of the first photos from the project.
It was announced today via Deadline that Morgan Freeman will be joining Jackson and Ryan Reynolds for the sequel, though details of his character are yet to be divulged.
Richard E Grant is also returning for the sequel, reprising his role as Seifret. He posted a snapshot from the set in London, hinting that his character might get in to just a bit of trouble in the sequel.

The sequel to 2017’s hit comedy focuses this time on Salma Hayek’s character Sonia, long suffering wife of Jackson’s hitman who needs protection. Director Patrick Hughes is back for a second round, and we can’t wait to see what insane car and boat chases they have in store for us this time. If you missed the first film, it follows bodyguard for hire Ryan Reynolds who is tasked with protecting notorious hitman Darius Kincaid, who has agreed to testify against a notorius dictator in exchange for the release of Sonia from prison. The Hitman’s Bodyguard is currently streaming on Netflix UK. And if you need your Samuel L Jackson fix earlier, why not check out Captain Marvel, in cinemas now.
