Netflix have announced A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby is due this holiday season, marking the third in their A Christmas Prince film franchise. iZombie‘s Rose McIver is due back in the lead role as Amber, journalist turned royal, with Ben Lamb returning as her new husband, King Richard.
The original Christmas Prince became an online sensation as 1000s of people watched and re-watched the Netflix original, live streaming their experiences, good and bad, of the film. Netflix itself even got involved, questioning those out there who had maybe seen the film just a few too many times…
To the 53 people who’ve watched A Christmas Prince every day for the past 18 days: Who hurt you?

Following the huge internet buzz of the first film, it only made sense to announce a sequel, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding was released last December and once again delighted fans of delightful Christmas schmaltz and now a baby makes three!
So far, what we know about the project is that there is a special new arrival making it’s way to Aldovia with Netflix making the pregnancy announcement on Twitter this afternoon. They’ve also released a plot synopsis, as below.
Amber and Richard host royals from a faraway kingdom to renew an ancient truce, but when the priceless 600-year-old-treaty disappears, peace is put in jeopardy and an ancient curse threatens their family!
We wish the whole team good health during the development, and look forward to welcoming the little bundle of joy on to our screens later this year.
