‘Riverdale’ Recap “Chapter 49: Fire Walk With Me”
Alice is adamant about selling the house. Betty tries to talk to sabotage her efforts but fails. She also spies on a Farm Meeting and the members are seemingly lighting their hands on fire. Now Kevin is walking on coals? This group keeps getting weirder and weirder. I forgot Alice told the Farm about Chic and the dead guy and all that. Betty makes an attempt to understand the Farm, for Kevin, and ends up burning her house down.
Archie finds a little boy named Ricky at the gym. He too has been marked as a sacrifice just as Archie was. Archie takes him under his wing to help him. Rogue Gargoyles scared him off and he leaves behind a creepy drawing. Against Ricky’s wishes, he calls social services to find him. Wait, Ricky is Joaquin’s younger brother and he gave the mark to himself? He was quested to kill Archie.
Veronica owes so much money that she doesn’t know how to keep her speakeasy afloat. Cue another casino night! Hiram is actually pleased with this idea. He just didn’t expect Veronica to come back with a deal. She attempts to shave off some debt by doing favors. It doesn’t go as well as hoped. She’s losing control of her place and hires the Pretty Poisons as muscle. Cheryl isn’t thrilled, maybe giving Toni her own gang wasn’t the best idea. Luckily, it’s working out for Veronica.
I kind of figured the Gargoyle/Serpent Relationship wouldn’t work out… Kurts seems super out of it, too much G&G and FizzleRocks, I guess. I wonder what Kurts will do now that he’s gang-less? This series won’t be the same without Fred Andrews. RIP Luke Perry, you will be missed by all.
