‘The Good Doctor’ Season 2 Episode Preview – ‘Breakdown’

Despite being instrumental in figuring out the proper diagnosis and treatment for a complicated patient in last week’s episode, Dr. Shaun Murphy has still failed to fall into the good graces of the new chief of surgery, Dr. Han.

On this Monday’s new episode of ABC’s The Good Doctor, Shaun continues to struggle with being removed from his comfort zone in the operating room. As a result, Shaun is forced to find another way to help out the team he’s become so akin to working with at St. Bonaventure, but will Dr. Han continue to block his efforts? Check out the official synopsis and preview for Monday’s episode titled Breakdown below.

Synopsis:

“Dr. Shaun Murphy is desperate to join the team on a dangerous procedure involving a patient’s tumor removal. However, having been removed from the surgery team by Dr. Jackson Han (guest star Daniel Dae Kim), Shaun must use his talents to help figure out the cause of an infant’s injuries.”

The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital with autism and savant syndrome. In addition to Highmore, the series also stars Antonia Thomas as Dr. Claire Browne, Nicholas Gonzalez as Dr. Neil Melendez, Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman, Tamlyn Tomita as Allegra Aoki, Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim, Fiona Gubelmann as Dr. Morgan Reznick, Will Yun Lee as Dr. Alex Park and Paige Spara as Lea.

The series is created by David Shore who also serves executive producer along with Daniel Dae Kim, David Kim, Erin Gunn, and Sebastian Lee.

Guest starring is Lisa Edelstein as Dr. Marina Blaize, Daniel Dae Kim as Dr. Jackson Han, Jasika Nicole as Carly Lever and Elfina Luk as Nurse Villanueva.
