Tyler Posey Returns to the Supernatural With New CW Pilot ‘The Lost Boys’

Tyler Posey may be best known for playing a teenage werewolf on MTV’s Teen Wolf, but soon he will be stepping into a new supernatural role on The CW – a vampire. According to Deadline, the actor has joined the upcoming Lost Boys pilot at the network alongside Kingdom alum Kiele Sanchez. If that title sounds familiar, that’s because it is. The series will be a small screen adaption of the 1987 horror comedy film starring Corey Feldman, Corey Haim, and Keifer Sutherland.

The series takes place in “sunny seaside Santa Carla, home to a beautiful boardwalk, all the cotton candy you can eat…and a secret underworld of vampires. After the sudden death of their father, brothers Michael (Posey) and Sam Emerson (yet to be cast) move to Santa Carla with their mother, Lucy (Sanchez), who hopes to start anew in the town where she grew up. But the brothers soon find themselves being drawn deeper and deeper into the seductive world of Santa Carla’s eternally beautiful and youthful undead”

The network has tapped the perfect director for the pilot in Twilight helmer Catherine Harwick. She will direct a script written by Heather Mitchell.

Posey led MTV’s Teen Wolf for six seasons as Scott McCall, an average high school lacrosse player who soon finds himself turning into a werewolf. Along with his friends, Scott gets pulled into the supernatural underbelly of his town while dealing with all the woes of high school including romance, family drama, and everything in between. He recently starred in Universal’s horror thriller Truth or Dare and has been touring with his band PVMNTS.
