‘Teen Witch’ Star Robyn Lively to Guest Star on ABC’s ‘The Good Doctor’

ABC’s The Good Doctor has hosted some truly magical guest stars in the past, but the most recently announced role just might cast a spell over San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. Teen Witch star Robyn Lively will be making a guest appearance on the series in an upcoming episode. Top that!

Lively will make her appearance in episode 15 of the series’ second season. She will be playing a mother named Diane who, along with her husband Nigel (played by Hell on Wheels actor Peter Benson, is forced to make a difficult decision regarding the life of their newborn baby girl. When their daughter is born with severe birth defects, the couple must decide whether or not to proceed with a critical and complicated surgery that could save their new baby. Episode 15 of The Good Doctor will also include the introduction of Dr. Jackson Han played by the series’ executive producer Daniel Dae Kim. According to a press release from ABC, Kim’s Dr. Han is described as, “a brash new Chief of Surgery at St. Bonaventure. Dr. Han’s arrival will shake things up at St. Bonaventure and specifically put Dr. Shaun Murphy’s (Freddie Highmore) career in jeopardy.”

It sure sounds like episode 15 is shaping up to be one of the best in the series so far!

The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital with autism and savant syndrome. In addition to Highmore, the series also stars Antonia Thomas as Dr. Claire Browne, Nicholas Gonzalez as Dr. Neil Melendez, Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman, Tamlyn Tomita as Allegra Aoki, Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim, Fiona Gubelmann as Dr. Morgan Reznick, Will Yun Lee as Dr. Alex Park and Paige Spara as Lea.

The series is created by David Shore who also serves executive producer along with Daniel Dae Kim, David Kim, Erin Gunn, and Sebastian Lee.

The Good Doctor airs Mondays at 10/9c.
