Logan Lerman to Lead Jordan Peele’s Amazon Series ‘The Hunt’

Amazon was on “the hunt” for a new leading man for a new drama series and they’ve found him in Percy Jackson alum Logan Lerman, according to The Hollywood ReporterTitled, The Hunt, the series, which is based on true events, is set to follow “a group of Nazi hunters living in New York City in 1977.” Amazon handed the series a straight to series, 10-episode order back in May.

Lerman will be starring as Jonah Heidelbaum, a young man who sets out to find the mysterious intruder who murdered his grandmother. Along the way, he finds himself involved with an organization known as The Hunt who seek justice against Nazi war criminals living in the United States under new identities.

The series is created and written by Moonfall’s David Weil with Nikki Toscano serving as the series’ showrunner and executive producer. Academy Award winner Jordan Peele (Get Out) will be producing the series under his Monkeypaw Productions banner.

Lerman is probably best known for his work on the big screen with a career starting back in 2000 where he appeared in What Women Want and The Patriot. Other film credits include Perks of Being a Wallflower, the Percy Jackson franchise, Hoot, The Three Musketeers, and Fury. On the small screen, The Hunt will mark Lerman’s first television role since 2004’s one-season WB series Jack and Bobby.
