‘The Walking Dead’ Alum Steven Yeun Joins ‘The Twilight Zone’ Reboot Series

The Walking Dead alum Steven Yeun is about to enter a universe that might top the creepiness of the zombie apocalypse. He’s about to enter The Twilight Zone.

Yeun will be joining the reboot of the classic anthology series which is currently in production. Collider first reported the news that he will be appearing in an episode titled The Traveler.

Yeun joins an already stellar cast for the upcoming CBS All Access series. John Cho, Allison Tolman, and Jacoby Tremblay were just recently announced as joining the series. Host and narrator Jordan Peele, as well as Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, and Kumail Nanjiani, were already previously announced.

The Twilight Zone is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg serve as executive producers along with Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Glen Morgan, Carol Serling, Rick Berg, and Greg Yaitanes.

The original Twilight Zone series first premiered in 1959 and ran through 1964. The series became a worldwide phenomenon due to its out-of-this-world storytelling structure. The series has become a classic in television history bringing to life creepy and interesting tales which are endlessly referenced in today’s modern film and television.

CBS All Access executive Julie McNamara is excited about bringing this classic series to a whole new generation of viewers. She said:

Under the auspices of Jordan Peele, Simon Kinberg, and Marco Ramirez, and with the creative freedom that the CBS All Access platform affords, this is an incredible opportunity to bring today’s audiences a modern reimagining of this iconic series.”[/row]
