Amy Adams on DC Revamping its Films, Says Goodbye to Lois Lane?

Man of Steel, Batman vs. Superman and Justice League actor, Amy Adams who has played as Lois Lane, isn’t quite sure about her future in one of the hottest film franchises.

In an interview with Variety’s Actors on Actors, Adams said she’s not sure of her future in the DC film universe, and added that she’s not even sure of the whole universe as a whole.

I think I’m out of the DC Universe now. I think they’re revamping that. I don’t know the details.”

Adams joined the films as Lois Lane in 2011 and made her first appearance in 2013’s Man of Steel. Her statement doesn’t reveal much, but it does pretty much solidify that she hasn’t been in any recent talks with the studio. Various fans of Amy Adams as Lois Lane took to social media to express their feelings on the matter, some were upset and others happy.

Adams wouldn’t be the first to be taking her leave from DC. There have been several reports that Henry Cavill is finished playing Superman opposite Adams. He recently responded to those rumors with a bizarre video.

Ben Affleck is also out as Batman, and that’s because the Dark Knight cast is disbanded.

Jason Momoa’s Aquaman premieres December 21st, and it’s expected to blow past DC films out of the water, so to speak. None of the other Justice League members appear in it. As far as DC’s other leading ladies go, Nicole Kidman is taking the lead as Atlanna in Aquaman, and Gal Gadot will reprise her well received role of Diana Prince in Wonder Woman 1984. That hits theaters June 5th 2020. That film raked in over $103 million just during its first weekend.

What do you think DC will do with Lois Lane moving forward? Did you enjoy Amy Adams’ portrayal of the leading lady?
