Things Are Getting Extra Chilling in New ‘Sabrina’ Christmas Special Trailer
For one night and one night only, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is going to spend some time with Santa instead of Satan. Well, Satan will be there too, but the trailer for the upcoming Christmas special, A Midwinter’s Tale has finally dropped and it promises all the goodies and spirit of the holidays with a touch of that terrifying Sabrina vibe we all know and love.
The episode will follow Sabrina and her family and friends as they celebrate the Winter Solstice, which is the longest night of the year. It’s also when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest, making it the perfect time to conduct a séance — which Sabrina convenes, to try and contact her mother. Of course, even though the Yule Log is lit, that doesn’t mean that other spirits won’t find their way into Greendale to wreak some havoc.
Netflix revealed last month that the episode would also feature a flashback to Young Sabrina with The Haunting of Hill House’s McKenna Grace stepping into the role.
The official logline for “A Midwinter’s Tale” reads:
[row]The Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice — the longest night of the year — when families gather together around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols, tell ghost stories and huddle against the supernatural creatures that come out to cause mischief. Since the Winter Solstice is when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest, it’s the perfect time to conduct a séance — which Sabrina convenes, to try and contact her mother. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors — both welcome and unwelcome — and you never know what might come down the chimney.[/row]

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
