‘The Walking Dead’ Makeup Artist Doubled as Dog Handler at The National Dog Show

NBC

Every year on Thanksgiving, after the parade and before the football, we get the opportunity to see the best of the dog breeds compete against one another for the title of the best in the National Dog Show presented by Purina.

This year, worlds collided when dog handler Janet Parker of Jackson Michigan, entered the ring with her beautiful, purebred American Hairless Terrier named Walkyr. Does the name of her dog give it away?

What’s awesome about Parker, is that she also works as a makeup artist on The Walking Dead, which famous dog show host John O’Hurley revealed as the pup and handler skipped across the blue carpet today.

The American Hairless Terrier was new in The Westminster Show last year, and Parker described how it’s hairless skin feels in an interview, saying it sort of feels like a ‘piece of warm bologna’.

We aren’t sure if Janet is currently working on the show or how often she does. If she’s doing walker makeup all day, we’re sure she’s felt some other things similar to a piece of warm bologna in the past as well, so we should believe her.

The American Hairless Terrier has been around since 1972, and is technically a mutant hairless rat terrier. They are known for hunting rats and digging.

You can see Janet and Walkyr perform in the show below!
