Beloved ‘Arrow’ Hero Becomes a Villain in Flash Forward
SPOILER WARNING: Spoilers follow from Arrow episode 7×06 “Due Process,” the latest episode of Arrow.
Arrow has been dipping into its darker side as of late. The show flashed forward 30 years recently, which revealed some upsetting revelations. We learn of Williams bad childhood as well as the collapse of Star City. The one that hits the hardest, though, is the discovery that Felicity Smoak, Original Team Arrow member has become a supervillain by the name of the Calculator.
Say it ain’t so, Felicity!
Dinah is the one who tells the story of her villainous ways. Not only that, but she tells the story of what caused Felicity’s death. Yep, Dinah outlives Felicity.
She tells William that Felicity became the new Calculator, taking the name from her evil father. Noah Kuttler, her dad, was a genius and a master hacker who used his skill for evil. Although he is nefariously intelligent, he does see Team Arrow’s side and even helps them out sometimes. Felicity seemed to spiral in the opposite direction. She went from good, to evil; from hero to villain.
Roy, Dinah, Zoe and William try to follow her clues in the episode, and they are led to her office in Smoak Technologies. There, they obtain and unlock her hidden files which reveal her intent to destroy Star City.
Hold your wigs, because this part is the worst. Felicity had plans to bomb Star City that weren’t already overrun by the Glades, before she died.
Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog, Echo Kellum as Mr. Terrific, Juliana Harkavy as Black Canary, Colton Haynes as Arsenal, Kirk Acevedo as Diaz and Katie Cassidy as Black Siren. It airs Mondays at 8 pm ET on The CW.
