The Flash Preview ‘The Icicle Cometh’
Things are not boding well for Caitlin as the team finally comes face-to-face with her missing father. Thomas faked his own death in order to hide away from his daughter, but left behind a series of clues for her to follow to reveal the truth. Now that they’ve finally found him, the whole situation doesn’t seem right. Barry tries to get Caitlin to look at the facts of the story–be like a CSI–because the whole situation doesn’t make sense. Thomas tells Caitlin that he faked his death to quarantine himself, and it looks like he might also have icy powers. He also does something to Caitlin that is making her arm freeze over.
The question now becomes: Who got their powers first? The accident that Caitlin vibed was when she was very young, so before the particle accelerator explosion. Since Thomas also faked his death before that, we can confirm that there were metas in the world before the incident. If both Thomas and Caitlin had this abilities, how did they get them? Or was Thomas just experimenting one day and both he and Caitlin were exposed to dark matter that affected them the same way? But why hide away when your own daughter is showing signs of the same problem? Is Thomas’ affliction much like Caitlin’s and he can’t control his other persona? Maye it’s another case of Jekyll and Hyde. So many questions, and hopefully, we’re about to finally get some real answers.
