‘Shazam!’ Director On Why Reshoots Were Needed

The DC Universe is under fire lately, especially with the changes happening recently. The fans weren’t too happy what movies came out in the recent years from the DCU. Now with Aquaman and Shazam coming closer, we’re hoping they finally found their way of working the DCU.

Recently the news came in that Shazam would start on reshoots for the movie. Now, hear me out, because a film is doing reshoots, it doesn’t mean that the movie will be awful anyway. Marvel has done a ton of reshoots for their movies, and no one ever complained too big on their films hitting the theaters (only based on storylines from the comics translated to the screen).

David F. Sandberg is known to keep the fans in the loop for the movie, and he was terrific enough to reply on the worries of the fans:

“All normal stuff. No changing the tone, removing DC references or whatever else theories are out there.”  – David F. Sandberg

I still think there is no reason to panic, I have trusted everything that Zachary Levi got cast for, and I think we’re going to be pleasantly surprised in the theaters. Zachary Levi won’t be doing something if it doesn’t represent the universe that’s created for us. He’s one of us. Besides, Marvel nearly does this for all their movies, so why should we be worried?

What do you think about the reshoots for Shazam!? Let us know in the comments below.

Shazam! will hit the theaters on April 5, 2019.
