‘Game of Thrones’ Returns April 2019!
Game of Thrones will return in April of 2019!
The show’s YouTube page dropped a trailer mashup Tuesday, of highlights from each of the series 7 seasons past, and the end reveals the release month. The trailer escalates to what we will see as the final battle with the white walkers that the series has built up to over the years.
With the video, they write:
Every battle. Every betrayal. Every risk. Every fight. Every sacrifice. Every death. All #ForTheThrone. The final season of Game of Thrones returns in April.
Originally, we didn’t know if we’d get the season until the summer like last year, so April is a welcome surprise! The final season of Game of Thrones will round out the series that became a global phenomenon based on a fictional land called Westeros that most resembles medieval England.
HBO has a new project based on the series in development, which will be written by Jane Goldman.
It will focus on the world’s fall from the Golden Age of Heroes, into a darker time, before the epic events of Game of Thrones. It’s likely to take the legends we think we’re familiar with on the series and take them up a notch.
Naomi Watts was recently cast in the series along with Josh Whitehouse.
