‘Supergirl’ Will Introduce Lex Luthor in Season 4

DC Comics

The CW is planning to introduce Lex Luthor to viewers very soon.

We have met Luthor’s greatest rival, Superman already, as Tyler Hoechlin was introduced as the caped crusader and as guest star in Supergirl season 2. The viewers were impressed by his portrayal as Man of Steel which depicted classic Christopher Reeve’s style exceptionally. The actor’s return to the series is set to also accompany Elizabeth Tulloch who will play Lois Lane.

As for Lex’s appearance, Executive Producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller stated,

“We’re beyond excited to introduce iconic villain, Lex Luthor, to Supergirl and to weave him into our story this season. We’ve talked about having Lex on the show since it’s inception and we’re excited to have him finally arrive.  We can’t wait for him to shake things up in National City and watch him go toe to toe with not only Supergirl, but his sister Lena Luthor.”

This year’s Arrowverse crossover event may be your first guess on when he will appear, along with Lois Lane and Batgirl, but EW has confirmed that won’t be the case.

Regardless, FandomWire revealed that CW was treating Elseworlds as a potential backdoor for an incoming Superman TV series. Based on the interest and feedback from fans, they will gauge the success rate of a new series. This goes for Batwoman as well.

The return of Supergirl season 4 last weekend came with stable ratings, and the season’s premiere has been giving grade “B” by TV line readers.

Viewers are sure to be excited to watch how Luthor takes on his sister, but also Supergirl. These new introductions are bound to give ratings a boost. No word yet on who will play the villain.

Are you excited to see Lex Luthor in the “Arrowverse”?
