Walker Stalker Con Atlanta: Melissa Hutchison and Nicki Rapp Talk The Walking Dead Video Game

Walker Stalker Atlanta is in full swing this weekend at the Georgia World Congress Center for the biggest Walking Dead fan meetup all year!

Today is day two, and several panels are taking place, including one with Melissa Hutchison, known for her voice role as Clementine in Telltale’s The Walking Dead video game.

The panel also features Nicki Rapp, who voices Lilly.

Here’s what’s happening on the panel!

The panel started off by talking about Telltale games not being a company anymore.

“Gutted, devastated, heartbreaking… it’s a second home and family,so when the news broke, oh my gosh! My heart just broke. It was a really bad day,” Melissa said. “Robert Kirkman announced that day that ‘we can’t lose Andrew Lincoln and clementine at once’ so he [Skybound Games] hired as many people back as he could.”

The topic jumped to Nicki and Lilly’s comeback.

“I didn’t think Lilly would come back,” she said

Melissa chimed in by saying Lilly is back because of the fans and because Skybound Games listened to the fans.

“I got an email, read it, screenshot and read it like 500 times and I went in and it felt so natural to be her again,” Nicki said. “It [the support from fans] meant a lot.”

The questions jumped to the game itself and the fans pressed for some spoilers involving Marlon. They then jumped to the voice actors’ take on bringing Clementine to The Walking Dead world.

“It’d be amazing to see Clementine in that universe but I don’t think I’d be cast in that part. There’s some physically differences and an age difference. I think her an Carl would’ve gotten along smashingly,” said Melissa.

Nicki said that she sees a lot of Lilly in some of the TV characters, “Maggie a little bit, there is a lot I want to say but I can’t.”

Melissa and Nicki shared their favorite parts of season 3, the hard realities of voice over work and how Melissa still hasn’t met AJ’s voice actor, and whether or not Molly would be coming back.

“I don’t know, I thought she’d come back. I didn’t think Lilly would. The doors are open for her,” said Nicki.

More fun from the panel to come…stay tuned!
