NBC Grants ‘Manifest’ a Full-Season Order

Manifest is here to stay.

NBC has extended the season by picking up three more episodes. This comes after Manifest‘s first four episodes elevated it as one of top rated new series.

The network announced the news on Thursday and ordered three more episodes to bring season 1 total number to 16.

The number is fewer than the usual 22 or 24 for the network’s other dramas, but NBC officials said that they have utmost faith and confidence in the series continuation.

NBC’s This Is Us and The Good Place only do 13-18 episodes per season. The network has planned to run the episodes 2019 without repeating.

During the first quarter of 2019 fans will get continuous storytelling which means that the writers have to take time to do it right. If the series does fewer episodes, it will be considering the right move to avoid getting convoluted due to a number of story lines it juggles.

The network’s decision to have fewer episodes will be appropriate only if the writers come up with a story line which keeping the viewers demanding more drama.

The Warner Bros/Universal TV drama in the first four episodes, it averaged1.8 rating among adults 18-49, and it had 1.8 million viewers. Statistics reveal the show has 8.4 loyal viewers in the same-day rating.

Later on, after the show was delayed for a week, the ratings improved, and the viewers grew to 18.4 million.

Jeff Rake and producers Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke and Jackie Levine. Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, and Parveen Kaur star created the show.
