Sasha, Hershel and Shane to Appear in Season 9 of ‘The Walking Dead’
The Walking Dead knows how to tug at our hearts, and one big way is to bring back beloved characters which we’ve lost on the show. back some more familiar faces for Season 9.
The cast and producers of The Walking Dead gathers with hundreds of fans at Madison Square Garden Saturday night to celebrate its ninth season and wish Andrew Lincoln goodbye. They even donned sheriff hats for the occasion.
Show runner Angela Kang was also there to deliver some hints about the season that we haven’t heard yet. She revealed that former cast members Scott Wilson and Sonequa Martin-Green will appear on season 9 as their respective characters. It was confirmed back in late summer that Jon Bernthal will be reprising his role as Shane in some fashion.

Green played Sasha from season 3 to season 7 and Wilson played Hershel from season 2 to season 4 on the series, father to Maggie (Lauren Cohan). Scott Wilson passed away on October 6th, 2018. The news of his passing broke not long after this news was announced at New York Comic Con.
It’s likely that the three will appear in some way involving Rick’s exit, perhaps in flashbacks or hallucinations.
