Game of Thrones: New Pops are Coming
Funko has announced a new wave of the popular Game of Thrones Pop figures. The series includes four characters who have never been Pop-ified before, as well as an updated figure for Bran Stark. Lord Varys, Gendry, Yara Greyjoy, and one of the Children of the Forest join the ranks of the Game of Thrones line.
It’s nice to see some new blood as most of the recent waves have just included variants of characters who already have several different figures. This almost seems like a fan-favorite set as Gendry, Yara, and Varys are all popular characters. It is surprising that we are getting a Yara Pop before one for her brother, Theon. This variant of Bran is actually pretty cool, and much more interesting than his previous version as it features Bran as he is in Season 7, holding the knife used in his assassination attempt.
The new wave are slowly being spotted in stores, but are already available for purchase on HBO’s official shop. New York Comic Con Exclusive additions to this wave include a chase version of the Child of the Forest, Beric Dondorrian with his flaming sword, and the creator three-pack, which includes George R.R. Martin, David Benioff, and D.B. Weiss. Barnes & Noble will also have an exclusive George R.R. Martin pop, available soon.
Hopefully the hunt for these figures will be enough to tide you over until the return of Game of Thrones sometime in 2019.
