A new Glimpse at Captain America’s Costume Emerges

The reshoots of Avengers 4 are continuing in Atlanta, and some promotional photos of Captain America (Chris Evans) have leaked. In them, he’s wearing an outfit that matches the comic descriptions of Captain America’s suit.

Evans tweeted a heartfelt goodbye to the character today, but the fans won’t get to officially say goodbye until the film comes out.

The costume is the latest version of Steve Rogers’ suit from 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. It is darker with a scaled texture. The photos were leaked by an account called DC Marvel united, and they are the first glimpse most fans have had of the heroes return to the upcoming Avengers film.

Check out the tweet and costume here!

Captain America has been historically known to rock a scaled armor, since his initial debut in 1941’s Captain America Comics #1 written by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. This new look is the closest the Captain has ever gotten to the original material over all his Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances.

We’ve caught glimpses of a very clean-shaven Evans on reshoot set in Atlanta in early September, and we’re taking it in. It may be the last time we see him as the hero.

Avengers 4 is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Pratt, Chadwick Boseman, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, David Bautista, Evangelin Lilly, Karen Gillian, and Josh Brolin.

The next installment in the Avengers story hits theaters on May 3, 2019!
