Johnny Depp Disturbs the Peace in new ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ Trailer

A brand new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was released, and it reveals some new things about the upcoming Wizarding World Spinoff from J.K Rowling.

It features young professor Dumbledore played by Jude Law giving Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) an address. It’s to a Paris safe house. He adds, “should things at some point go terribly wrong.”

Dumbledore is played by Richard Harris and Michael Gambon in the Harry Potter films.

Newt is given the task to hunt down Gellert Grindelwald, played by Johnny Depp. He has dark powers of magic and he wants to disturb, and ultimately end the peace between the two worlds: Wizarding and non-wizarding. Newt’s former lady friend Leta Lestrange played by Zoë Kravitz) points out his biggest flaw, “You never met a monster you couldn’t love.”

Johnny Depp’s Grindelwald with white-out hair and beard, is a focal point on the trailer. More unseen characters appear, including war veteran and Newt’s older brother Theseus played by Callum Turner.

Perhaps the most suprising part of the trailer features a woman who is seen performing in a circus. She morphs into who we know as Nagini, Voldemort’s beloved pet snake and horcrux. The news is out. Nagini was originally a human woman.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hits theaters on November 16th
