Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans are Comparing Their Friendship to Iconic Disney Duos
Iron Man and Captain America are an iconic duo, that’s very clear. They are at the head of the largest cinematic universe, and lately there’s been on screen tension between the two which adds to fans wanting more.
Their human counterparts, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans have quite a close relationship off-screen as well. The two actors first appeared on screen together in 2012 in The Avengers. After all those years of filming Marvel hits together and experiencing months of press junkets full of adoring fans year after year, the two have unsurprisingly become very close.
This weekend, Downey had fun with fans who love both sides of their “bromance” by comparing he and Evans to a photo of Disney’s deer couple, Bambi and Faline. (The picture is from Bambi 2. If you haven’t seen it, it’s definitely a sweet film worth a watch. It features Bambi’s fragile relationship with his father. His mother was famously shot by a hunter and killed in the original 1942 film, which turned out to be one of the saddest, most shocking moments in animated Disney film history.)

Bambi and Faline are an adorable duo, and these two hams are arguably just as adorable as the doe-eyed fauns.
Evans responded, “What can I say? The man knows me.”

He then threw in another iconic pair of Disney buddies to compare the friendship to-Woody and Buzz from Toy Story. This is actually a pretty accurate representation of the two.

Many Marvel fans love the friendship and were cleverly adding their own two cents to the love fest.

Tweets are one thing. Downey actually gifted Evans a custom made Camaro this summer.
In Avengers: Infinity War, they never share screen time, but it’s a big deal when they speak about each other because they aren’t exactly in the best spot in their friendship. Bruce Banner wants the two to make up and they both survive Thanos’ snap, so chances are high that we will see them reunite in Avengers 4 on May 3rd, 2019.
