Would you Want to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Lobo?

The Walking Dead‘s Jeffrey Dean Morgan officially put his name forward for a new role during An Evening with Norman & Jeffrey in Atlanta last month.

The role he would want to play, if Lobo from the DC Universe.

Morgan has previously starred in several comic book properties, including Watchmen, The Losers, and Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Of course, the role he currently holds as the infamous Negan on AMC’s The Walking Dead, was also born from those comics.

“The only one I want to play is DC and Lobo. He’s badass,” Said Morgan.

Lobo is one of the most popular anti-heroes from the DC universe and he’s yet to make it to the big screen.

Back in 2009, Warner Brothers was plannig to put a Lobo movie into production, and Morgan expressed his interest then, too. The film never made it to the big screen, and we aren’t sure where it even stands today.

Dwayne Johnson was actually once tied to the role, until he chose the role of Shazam’s enemy Black Adam.

Recently, Johnson responded on Twitter to the rumblings after Morgan’s comment saying, “Hell yes.” The two worked together on Rampage.

Lobo is supposed to be making his debut in season 2 of Krypton, so there’s still time for JDM to be cast!

It’s safe to say he’d be a perfect fit for the role, and the producers would most likely love to have Morgan’s star power involved on a show that hasn’t quite taken off yet. He’s still on The Walking Dead, though, and unlike the announcements of its top players Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan leaving, it looks like a now-crippled and powerless Negan won’t be going anywhere. That being said, it’s The Walking Dead-and no one’s safe. Maggie, Daryl and Jesus did make it clear at the end of season 8 that they wanted him dead.

A few other actors have been connected to the role, but have all seemed to fade. Since 2016, Jason Fuchs and Michael Bay have both been connected, and then turned it away.
