‘Unbroken: Path to Redemption’ continues Louis Zamperini’s Story
Louis Zamperini is the Olympic runner and World War II hero who survived being stranded on the Pacific for 47 days and a Japanese prisoner of war camp. These were highlighted in Angelina Jolie’s 2014 film, Unbroken.
Unbroken: Path to Redemption is a continuation of Louis Zamperini’s story. This film picks up where Jolie’s ended, after the near-death experiences.
Unbroken: Path to Redemption focuses in on Zamperini’s difficulties adjusting to normal life. Back in Torrance, California, Zamperini deals with PTSD as he carries out the rest of his life.
Zamperini is played by Samuel Hunt and “Bird” Watanabe, who frequents Zamperini’s flashbacks is played by David Sakurai.
Unbroken: Path to Redemption hits theaters September 14th.
