‘The Greatest Showman’ is Now Streaming on HBO!

Ladies and gents (and HBO subscribers), you can now watch Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Zendaya dance and sing the night away in The Greatest Showman! The Academy Award-nominated film debuted on the premium cable channel this past weekend and has now taken up residence on its official catalog.

The film, which was released in theaters last Christmas, was inspired by the story of P. T. Barnum’s creation of the Barnum & Bailey Circus and the lives of its star attractions. It starred Hugh Jackman as Barnum, Michelle Williams as his wife, and Zac Efron as his business partner Phillip Carlyle. Zendaya also starred in the film as Anne Wheeler, an acrobat, trapeze artist in the show and Keala Settle took on the role of the Bearded Lady.

Since its Box Office release, which ended up bringing in over  $434 million worldwide, The Greatest Showman has become the third highest grossing musical in North America and globally. It received Golden Globe nominations for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Actor – Musical or Comedy for Jackman and took home the award for Best Original Song for its powerful anthem “This Is Me”. The song was also nominated for Best Original Song at last year’s Academy Awards but unfortunately did not take the win.

On top of its impressive Box Office run, the film’s soundtrack also went on to become a global success. With original music and lyrics written by the masterminds behind La La Land and Dear Evan Hansen, the soundtrack topped the charts in several countries including the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Japan, reaching number one on iTunes in over 77 countries.

The Greatest Showman’s star Zendaya will soon be heading back to HBO with a new drama series titled EuphoiraBased on a 2012 Israeli series of the same name, the series follows “a group of high school students as they navigate drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship. Zendaya will topline the series as Rue, a lying, drug-addicted 17-year-old girl alongside a cast including Girls’ Maude Apatow, Red Band Society’s Brian “Astro” Bradley, Grey’s Anatomy’s Eric Dane, and The Handmaid’s Tale Sydney Sweeney.

In addition to its HBO streaming status, The Greatest Showman is also available to rent and purchase both Digitally and on Blu-Ray/DVD.
