Kevin Smith may Soon Become a Series Showrunner
Kevin Smith may be about to sign on as showrunner of a new series!
The comic guru and filmmaker hinted at the news on his podcast called Fatman on Batman last week.
“I’m working on a different thing now. I’m in a different end of the process.” He added that the new work will add to what he’s been working on with directing Clerks, and episodes of CW’s Supergirl and The Flash.
He went on to say that he enjoys getting to watch, observe and make decisions. He enjoys getting to “pick and choose” aspects of the project.
He said, “I’ve now done enough where I can look and see how a show runner runs a show and form an opinion on how I would do it.
Smith, who suffered a heart-attack in February, is ready to move with his new healthy outlook. “I’m spinning a lot of plates, post-heart attack. I just need one of them to go, man.”
It seems as though he doesn’t want to reveal the project quite yet, but is excited for fans to know what to expect fro him next, and that he has a lot up his sleeve. Even if one falters, he has many to turn to.
He is good at keeping us updated, so we’re bound to hear something else soon. In the meantime, his four-issue arc of Mark Millar’s Hit Girl comic will be out in January 2019.
