Ryan Murphy Shares First Look at ‘Coven’ Witches in ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’

The witches are back!

The upcoming season of FX’s creepy anthology American Horror Story promises an epic crossover between two fan-favorite seasons; Murder House and Coven. In a brand new look at the upcoming series, co-creator Ryan Murphy shared a first look at the returning Coven witches played by stars Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Stevie Nicks standing with Sarah Paulson and Emma Roberts.

Murphy posted the picture on Sunday to his social media accounts with the caption, “The Coven Returns. What a thrilling night with the legend Stevie Nicks on the set of AHS.” Check out Murphy’s post from Twitter below:

The upcoming season, titled American Horror Story: Apocalypse, will combine the show’s first season theme, Murder House and the show’s third season theme, Coven which has opened the doors for many familiar faces and characters to return including series staples Evan Peters and Kathy Bates in addition to Paulson, Roberts, Conroy, Sidibe, Farmiga, and Nicks.

It has also recently been confirmed that iconic actress Jessica Lange will be returning to the American Horror Story world for at least one episode in the upcoming eighth season. She will also be reprising one of her previous roles: her season one character Constance.

The eighth installment of the series, American Horror Story: Apocalypse, will premiere on September 12th on FX.
