Watch the First Trailer for ‘Outlaw King’ Starring Chris Pine

Chris Pine stars in the epic untold story of the battle to reclaim Scotland in his newest project Outlaw King.

Based on the incredible true story, Pine stars as Robert the Bruce, former King of Scots turned outlaw by the English King. The film follows Robert’s fight to regain the control he lost.

Outlaw King reunites Pine with director David Mackenzie after working together on the Academy Award-nominated film Hell or High Water. In addition to Pine, the film stars as Robert The Bruce, alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nocturnal Animals), Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth), Tony Curran (Sons of Anarchy), Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones) and Billy Howle (On Chesil Beach).

The first trailer for the upcoming film promises tons of intense battle sequences with Pine’s Robert of Bruce delivering a stirring speech to rally his troops to battle. Check out the first trailer below.

The screenplay is written by Mackenzie, Bash Doran (Boardwalk Empire), James MacInnes, Mark Bomback and renowned Scottish playwright David Harrower. The film is produced by longtime filmmaking partners Mackenzie and Gillian Berrie through their production company Sigma Films, and Richard Brown and Steve Golin of Anonymous Content.

Outlaw King will hit select theaters on November 9th and will be available globally via Netflix on that same date.
