Amy Poehler Comments on a Potential ‘Parks And Recreation’ Reunion

Fans of the hit comedy Parks and Recreation have continued to remain loyal to the series, even after the show aired it’s final episode back in 2015. If there are any fandoms out there that would want to see a revival of their favorite series, it’s the Parks and Rec crew for sure. In today’s pop culture world, anything is possible as long as the right people are onboard. When it comes to Parks and Rec, it definitely sounds like a revival has the right people supporting it.

Fans have fallen in love with Poehler’s current hit show Making It, a crafting competition show on which she co-hosts with her Parks and Rec costar Nick Offerman (who played Ron Swanson on the series). Fans are just loving seeing these two back together on television, so is there potential for a bigger reunion of the Pawnee Parks gang?

During the recent Television Critics Association summer press tour, Leslie Knope herself, Amy Poehler, was promoting I Feel Bad, the new show she is executive producing. Of course, the room couldn’t help but ask about the potential for a Parks and Recreation reunion of some kind.

When asked, Poehler brightly responded by saying, “Yeah, any time! I’m avail. I’m tech avail.”

With a cast that includes the likes of Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza, Rob Lowe, Adam Scott, and Aziz Ansari in addition to Poehler and Offerman, timing and schedules really seem like the only major roadblocks in bringing the show’s cast back together. The Parks and Rec cast has, thankfully, gone on to work on some majorly successful projects. That said, according to Poehler, the cast still talks almost every day within a text message chain.

When asked about when a reunion could potentially happen and if she’d be on board, Poehler said, “God, I have no idea, but, you know, everybody has my number. It’s kind of common knowledge but we all have a text chain and we talk to each other almost every day, so you know I think everybody would be excited to do some version of it. Hopefully on ice!”

If there’s anyone who can pull together a Parks and Recreation reunion, it’s Leslie Knope! Fans will just have to keep their fingers crossed that schedules can align and everyone would be on board!
