‘Teen Titans Go! to the Movies’ is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes

Booyah! If you haven’t seen Teen Titans Go! to the Movie yet, what are you waiting for? You are majorly missing out on a fantastically fun film that the whole family can enjoy.

Don’t believe me? No problem. The proof is in the statistics. The film opened to a solid 100% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is now officially Certified Fresh on the site. At the time of this article, the film had a total of 83 reviews with a 90% Fresh rating from critics.

Series an film star Khary Payton (who lends his distinctive voice to the role of Cyborg) took to Twitter to celebrate the film’s amazing rating. He wrote, “Congratulations, #teentitansgomovie! CERTIFIED FRESH at 90%!!! Turns out our hilarious little flick has heart and is more than a little bit smart. IN THEATERS NOW!!”

Teen Titans Go! to the Movies was released in theaters last month and quite honestly is one of the most fun films ever. Personally, I went on opening night and took my two nephews, one 9-years-old and one 11-years-old, to see the film. The film has the same humor from the cartoon, which the kids love, mixed in with some slightly more sophisticated jokes that superhero-loving adult nerds (like myself) would also enjoy. The film honestly has something for everyone and the whole family, both kids, and adults, enjoyed it tremendously.

Directed by the original series creator Aaron Horvath and producer Peter Rida Michail, the animated film will star Will Arnett, Kristen Bell, Greg Cipes (Beast Boy), Scott Menville (Robin), Khary Payton (Cyborg), Tara Strong (Raven) and Hynden Walch (Starfire). The film is also written by Horvath along with producer Michael Jelenic.

Check out the official synopsis for Teen Titans GO! to the Movies below:

[row]“It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies-everyone but the Teen Titans, that is. But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a serious supervillain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line.”[/row]
