First Photo of Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate in ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’
On Monday, Sony Pictures released yet another look at the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Earlier this summer, we got our first look at the aesthetic of the film with a photo of stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt sporting some seriously killer 60s outfits. This time around, we are getting our first look at Margot Robbie as actress and model Sharon Tate.
Sharon Tate was famously married to Roman Polanski and was pregnant with their first child when she and four others were brutally murdered by Charles Manson’s cult followers.
Robbie bears a striking resemblance to the murdered 60s star. Check out the photo below.
From Sony Pictures, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood takes place in Los Angeles during 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie).
The film is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and is his ninth feature film overall and will be set against the backdrop of the 1969 Tate murders. Georgia Kacandes is executive producer while David Heyman and Shannon McIntosh produce along with Tarantino as well.
Additional casting includes Burt Reynolds, Dakota Fanning as Manson family associate Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, Al Pacino, Damian Lewis as iconic actor Steve McQueen, Emile Hirsch, Timothy Olyphant, James Marsden, and Tim Roth.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood hits theaters on August 9, 2019.
