Andrew Lincoln may have confirmed his series exit after the ninth season of The Walking Dead, however, during the San Diego Comic-Con Hall H panel, AMC confirmed the actor’s appearance on another popular network series.
It looks like Lincoln will be teaming up with his The Walking Dead co-star again, only this time they will be outside of the apocalypse on the upcoming third season of RIDE with Norman Reedus. While the AMC panel presentations were happening and shortly after the explosive first trailer for The Walking Dead‘s ninth season dropped, AMC tweeted out the following, “Rick Grimes may not be able to ride a motorcycle, but Andrew Lincoln DOES with @wwwbigbaldhead on @rideamc.”

No additional details are known yet regarding the upcoming season of RIDE, but we have finally gotten some confirmation on the changes fans will see on The Walking Dead in season nine. New showrunner Angela Kang has confirmed a time jump in the new season which fans were able to see in action in the first series trailer.
Also, in addition to Andrew Lincoln’s (who plays Rick Grimes) exit from the series, it has also been reported that Lauren Cohan (who plays Maggie Greene (Rhee)) will be leaving the series before the season’s end. Cohan was recently cast in ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier which has been picked up to series during the 2018 television upfronts. Both Cohan and Lincoln are said to appear in just six episodes in the upcoming season.
There’s no premiere date announced yet for season three of RIDE with Norman Reedus, however, The Walking Dead will return to AMC with new episodes starting on October 7th. No delays this year!
