The Vampire Diaries may be done and The Originals may be ending, but the Legacies have arrived. While it’s been somewhat of a mystery project up until now, The CW released the full trailer for their Vampire Diaries/ Originals spinoff series, Legacies during its San Diego Comic-Con panel on Saturday. The series follows the kids of Klaus and Alaric as they come together at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. You can watch the full trailer below!
The trailer dives into the series’ overall theme of what exactly makes a villain? It’s a story that was often explored when it came to Klaus on both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, and it will be interesting to watch the show dive into what it’s like to be the descendants of what humans believe to be the evilest of creatures. In the trailer, Hope Mikaelson provides a dramatic voiceover that reads:
The series stars Danielle Rose Russell as Hope Mikaleson, Archie Winston as Jacques Parker, Jenny Boyd as Lizzie Saltzman, Kaylee Bryant as Josie Saltzman, with Matt Davis reprising his Vampire Diaries role as Alaric Saltzman. Legacies will be written by Vampire Diaries helmer Julie Plec and Brett Matthews.
Legacies premieres Thursday, Oct. 25 at 9/8c on The CW.
