Law & Order: SVU has a new character coming aboard…dun dun! TVLine reports that Dylan Walsh has been cast in a recurring guest-star role for the series’ unprecedented 20th season.
Despite the fact that he has already guest-starred on SVU in season 11, Walsh will be making his return to play John Conway, a “self-made man and major beverage distributor who is respected by his community and looked up to by his children.”
Walsh recently appeared on the one and done CW series Life Sentence starring Lucy Hale and also guest-starred on Netflix’s Longmire for seasons five and six. He had a starring role on the CBS series Unforgettable, which ran for four seasons from 2011-2016 and FX’s Nip Tuck which ran for six seasons. He’s also appeared in films such as The Stepfather, The Lake House, and Secretariat.
Law & Order: SVU currently stars Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T, Peter Scanavino, and Kelli Giddish. As it approaches it’s 20th season, the show now ties Gunsmoke and the original Law & Order as the longest-running drama series. They also just recently started filming as seen in Hargitay’s latest Instagram post!
There hasn’t been an annoucement yet as to when Walsh’s episode block will air, but Law & Order: SVU returns with a two-hour premiere on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 9/8c.
