Taron Egerton Learns to Steal from the Rich in New ‘Robin Hood’ Trailer

On Tuesday, Lionsgate released the first official trailer for the upcoming film Robin Hood. The trailer reveals an exciting updated and almost modern retelling of the classic Prince of Thieves tale starring Taron Egerton (Kingsman), Jamie Foxx, Ben Mendelsohn and Eve Hewson. Oh yeah, and it features tons and tons of archery.

Egerton’s Robin of Loxley transforms into Robin Hood by learning the ins and outs of robbing from the rich from his friend and heist mentor Little John (played by Foxx).  “You were a lord, but now you get to become a thief, and I’m going to show you how,” says Foxx’s Little John. The two come together and form their band of “merry men” aka. total outlaws, in order to pull off the ultimate heist against the King. The only thing standing in their way is the evil Sheriff of Nottingham (played by Mendelsohn).
