Chad Michael Murray to Star in a Hallmark Christmas Movie
One Tree Hill may have been off the air for six years, but the cast is certainly still making moves and ready to bring some holiday cheer to all of us honorary Tree Hill residents this year.
For starters, it was recently announced that Tree Hill alums Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Daneel Harris, and Antwon Tanner would all be reuniting for a Lifetime Christmas movie titled The Christmas Contract. The movie finds Jolie (Burton) returning back to her hometown after a devastating breakup only to learn that her ex would be there with a new girlfriend. So, her best friend Naomi (Ackles) convinces Jolie to bring her brother Jack (Buckley) with her and even drafts them up a contract so that the rules of their arrangement remain clear. Of course, romance ensues.
Now, it’s been confirmed that One Tree Hill’s Chad Michael Murray will be starring in a Christmas flick of his own on the Hallmark Channel! Murray played series star Lucas Scott on The CW drama for six seasons before he decided to exit, but he did make a guest appearance in season 9.
Murray will be starring in The Wise Men alongside Jessy Schram (Cinderella on Once Upon a Time). The movie follows a woman named Maggie (Schram) who is tasked with making sure that all three of her boss’s sons arrive home in time for Christmas. Things get a bit difficult when a huge blizzard hits, leading Maggie to convince her boss’s oldest son and co-worker Danny (Murray) to assist her in navigating this cross-country journey. Of course, romance ensues.
The Wise Men aill mark Murray’s second TV Christmas movie. Back in 2010, he starred in ABC Family’s Christmas Cupid with Christina Millian and Ashley Bensen. In addition to One Tree Hill, Murray also appeared on ABC’s Agent Carter, CMT’s Sun Records, and the TV movie The Beach House alongside Minka Kelly and Andie McDowell.
We already are huge suckers for the Hallmark and Lifetime Christmas movies and being huge One Tree Hill fans, we can’t wait for both The Christmas Contract and The Wise Men to premiere later this year!
