Jonathan Van Ness and his Reaction of ‘Queer Eye’s & ‘Gay Of Thrones’ Emmy Nomination
It happened, you guys! Queer Eye came back in June and brought us all tears of joy and a lot of laughter. Today the best news came in, and Queer Eye received, not just 1, but 4 Emmy nominations!
That the Fab 5 would be more than happy was to be expected, but we want to shine a light on of my favorite people in the entire world: Jonathan Van Ness. A Netflix employee that goes by the name Jarett Wieselman posted Jonathan’s reaction to the Queer Eye nomination.
JVN's reaction to finding out #QueerEye AND #GayOfThrones scored Emmy noms this morning is too pure — and then there's Tan, Antoni, Karmo, and Bobby's reaction to his double nom 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/GnCVKJtTsw

Not only was he nominated for being in Queer Eye, but he also received a double nomination with Gay Of Thrones, a web series where he makes recaps of HBO’s Game Of Thrones, and it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever seen. His nomination for Gay Of Thrones is Outstanding Short Form Variety Series. We all feel it, Jonathan is a hardworking and very lovable person, and even though he may come on strong at the beginning, that’s just what makes him more special. He always inspires us to be who we want to be, and he deserves the double nomination. I especially love how the rest of the Fab 5 react to Jonathan’s happiness; we need more of this in life!
Jonathan took to Twitter and shared the nomination with a small but warming message.
Oh my god. I can’t even. Thank you sooo much @funnyordie @netflix I’m so grateful pic.twitter.com/VWz0NbP5tp

While Queer Eye helped Netflix in their 112 Emmy nominations, it’s still exciting to have four nominations on one show. The four categories they’re nominated in are Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program, Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Outstanding Cinematography for a Reality Program and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured or Competition Reality Program.
The first category of Outstanding Casting is well deserved in my eyes. Can you imagine five other guys being the new Fab 5? No, I don’t think so. Once Karamo, Bobby, Jonathan, Tan, and Antoni invaded our lives last year, we couldn’t help but feel the love that they had and still have.
Not only did our favorite groomer take to the internet to share his happiness, but also Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown and Antoni Porowski shared an Instagram or Twitter post about the Emmy nomination.
I don’t know who created this photo but we feel Incredible right now! @queereye got FOUR #EmmyNominations so proud of my brothers, scout productions @itv @netflix pic.twitter.com/J1OOAsmEjc

Queer Eye nominated for 4 Emmys. Insanely grateful and proud of every associate producer, assistant, executive, production team member, casting, editors, show runners, and OG Fab Five for making it all possible. Oh, and @tanfrance @bobbyberk @KaramoBrown @jvn too duh. ❤️

If this isn’t going to get Queer Eye the third season, I don’t know what will. Come on, Netflix, announce it already!
