‘It: Chapter Two’ Adds Taylor Frey

It: Chapter Two is adding a new actor to their already impressive ranks! Deadline reports that Taylor Frey has officially joined the cast as Don Hagarty. While not a character in the first movie, Don Hagarty was in the original Stephen King novel and is in a relationship with Adrian Mellon, who will be played by Xavier Dolan in the movie.  Frey also shared a post on Instagram saying: 🎈🎈 Can’t wait to jump into Derry with these incredible actors.

Frey hasn’t had too many notable roles, but he has appeared in episodes of Days of Our Lives, The Carrie Diaries, and Gossip Girl. It: Chapter Two marks his first major studio feature role. He joins the recent casting announcement of Teach Grant who will be playing the adult version of bully Henry Bowers.

Set 27 years after the first movie, It: Chapter Two will find The Loser’s Club coming together in Derry, Maine after 17 years to once again find themselves being tormented by the terrifying Pennywise, a role which Bill Skarsgård will be reprising. James McAvoy will be playing the adult version Bill, Bill Hader will be playing Richie, and Jessica Chastain will be playing Beverly. The rest of the club is rounded out with James Ransone as Eddie, Andy Bean as Stanley, Jay Ryan as Ben and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike.

The sequel will also feature the young actors from the 2017 film including Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher, Chosen Jacobs,  Jeremy Ray Taylor, Jack Dylan Grazer,  Finn Wolfhard, and Wyatt Oleff all reprising their roles. It director Andy Muschietti will be returning for the sequel which is set to premiere in theaters  September 6, 2019!
