Funko to Release ‘Friends’ Series 2 Pop! Figures!

Could we BE anymore excited about the latest line of Pop! figures announced by Funko on Wednesday? The answer is, we absolutely couldn’t be any more excited because next month our favorite Friends will be available to own in Pop! form.

Funko has previously released a line of figures inspired by the hit 1990’s NBC series Friends, however, their latest line captures some extra special key moments from the series which fans of the show are definitely going to want to own!

The new line of Pop! figures kicks off with the ultimate Friends throwback featuring 80s style Rachel, Ross and Chandler (whose Pop! is rocking the iconic Flock of Seagull’s hairstyle).

In addition to the 80s throwbacks, the Pop! line also includes multiple versions of Monica! There’s the frizzy hair, humidity battling Monica, dreadlocks Monica, and (my personal favorite) head in a turkey Monica!

Last but certainly not least, we have Supergirl Phoebe and Joey wearing all of Chandler’s clothes! Let’s just hope he doesn’t do any lunges while going commando!

According to Funko’s blog site, the Pop! figures will be available this August!

Friends aired for 10 wonderful and hilarious seasons on NBC before going off the air for good in 2004. The series starred Courtney Cox as Monica Geller, Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay, David Schwimmer as Ross Geller, Matthew Perry who played Chandler Bing and Matt LeBlanc who played Joey Tribbiani.

With the success of television reboots recently, fans have been clamoring for a reboot or reunion of their six favorite friends, but according to pretty much all involved, that won’t be happening. Matthew Perry spoke previously about his fears of doing a reboot. He said, “I have this recurring nightmare. I’m not kidding about this. When I’m asleep, I have this nightmare that we do Friends again and nobody cares.  We do a whole series, we come back, and nobody cares about it. So if anybody asks me, I’m gonna say no. The thing is: We ended on such a high. We can’t beat it. Why would we go and do it again? I was on a sitcom for 10 years, and it was the greatest. It gave me every opportunity I ever had.”

While we’d love to see the Friends cast back in action, it looks like the Funko Pop! figures are about as close as we’re going to get to a reunion.
