Avengers: Infinity War: Are Pets Safe?

The Mad Titan’s snap with the Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers: Infinity War was quite powerful. We all know that the film was quite evidently about Thanos’ actions and their effects on humans. Now fans are asking, what about the effects they had on animals?

President Kevin Fiege of Marvel Studios confirmed that Thanos did not leave any creature out of his snap.

Feige, in an interview with Birth Movies Death was asked if animals were lost during the snap.  His response was,

“Yes! Yes. All life.”

We can’t help but imagine an “Animal Avengers” sequel, or prequel to see the direct effects of animals-maybe just a featurette!

The snap was obviously extremely intense and effective at provoking emotions from the fans of beloved superheroes. Now, imagine if your beloved pup, cat or bunny disappeared with your loved ones? That sounds like a nightmare.

Joe Russo recently told said to ComicBook.com that, “It was always a plan to show beyond that because when we made the decision to have the snaps themselves, that’s a plot trick to cut to black after an incident like that happens and it doesn’t give you any emotional resonance or catharsis. What he said thinking about it realistically; the true heartbreak doesn’t lie in the fact that he snapped his fingers, it lies in the fact that people have to watch loved ones, and we have to watch characters that we care about die. And that’s where the real heartbreak lies for the characters who live in the Universe and for those of us watching the movie.”

Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp is in theaters now!
