Jason Momoa to Star in Apple’s Sci-Fi Drama ‘See’

Just over a month after exiting from the Sony Pictures remake of The Crow, Aquaman star Jason Momoa has found his next project. Momoa is set to start as the lead in Apple’s upcoming original drama series called See.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “See is described as an epic, world-building drama set in the future.” The eight-episode series is set in a future during a time where the human race has completely lost the sense of sight. Without the ability to see, society struggles to find new ways to interact, build, hunt, and survive. All of this changes when a set of twins is born with the ability to see once more.

Jason Momoa will play a character named Baba Voss. His character is described as a fearless warrior, a leader, and a guardian.

See is written by Steven Knight and is directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2). Both Knight and Lawrence will also serve as executive producers along with Peter Chernin, Jenno Toppin and Kristen Campo of Chernin Entertainment. See is a joint venture of Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content.

Momoa is no stranger to television. He is perhaps best known for his role as Khal Drogo in season one of HBO’s epic drama series Game of Thrones. Additionally, he stars in Netflix’s action/adventure series Frontier as Declan Harp, a part-Irish, part-Native American outlaw campaigning to breach the fur trade and continuing his warpath against the Hudson Bay Company’s monopoly. Momoa will be seen next on the big screen reprising his role as Arthur Curry (aka. Aquaman) in DC’s extended universe. Aquaman is set to hit theaters on December 21st.
