If for no other reason than to simply look at some gifs, let’s do a quick Marvel refresh before diving into this article. First, we all know the majestic T’Challa, King of Wakanda, who’s played by Chadwick Boseman. He led Black Panther on an amazing record-breaking Box Office run.

There’s also Chris Pratt, who brought a sick soundtrack and some stellar dance moves to the Marvel world as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.

Well, the two recently starred in Avengers: Infinity War, but didn’t actually share the screen at all. Star-Lord was with Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Spider-Man on Titan while T’Challa was fighting alongside Captain America and Co. in Wakanda.

Although Quill’s Guardians partner Rocket Racoon teamed up with Thor in the film and the pair did eventually find themselves in Wakanda, and at some point, Boseman came across the stand in that’s used for Rocket and posted this photo on Instagram.

He captioned the photo:

He kept asking for a selfie. @prattprattpratt come get your boy.

Of course, Pratt never misses the opportunity for a little social media jest, so he came back with a perfectly raunchy response for Boseman.

Ideally, Boseman’s photo would have been taken on the set of Avengers 4, but since his character as well as Rocket Racoon and Peter Quill all disintegrated after Thanos’ snap, the photo was merely a “Flashback Friday”. The fate of the “dead” superheroes is still unknown, but Kevin Feige recently confirmed that none of the characters would be featured in any Avengers 4 marketing.

“We are working with the greatest marketing team in the world with Disney so I’m anxious to see how they start to put [the marketing] together.”

Despite the fate of their characters, Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther both have follow-up films in the works, so the chances of Avengers 4 having a happy ending for some heroes seems likely. Neither of their films has a release date, but Avengers 4 will hit theaters next May.
