‘Mayans MC’ Rides to San Diego Comic-Con

Get ready to ride all the way to San Diego Comic-Con! FX has released its line up for the pop culture event of the year and leading the way next month is the highly-anticipated Sons of Anarchy spin-off, Mayans MC.

It is expected that creator Kurt Sutter will be in attendance along with co-creator Elgin James as well as the cast which includes stars Edward James Olmos and J.D. Pardo. We have our fingers crossed that we’ll get an official first look at the upcoming series along with a premiere date and perhaps some other surprises along the way.

Earlier today, Sutter also shared a new behind the scenes look at the upcoming series. She posted the below picture with the caption, “Just your average family photo.”

Mayans MC is set to take place after the events which occurred in the Sons of Anarchy finale. We will be seeing a post-Jax Teller world from the perspective of the rival motorcycle club. The series will follow Mayans prospect EZ Reyes (played by JD Pardo) through his struggles and desire for revenge against the drug cartel while attempting to earn the respect from the women he loves. The series will be directed by Norberto Barba (Grimm, The Strain, Preacher) who is also acting as executive producer.

In addition to Mayans MC riding into SDCC, Hall H will also be graced with appearances by FX’s Legion which will include series stars Dan Stevens and Aubrey Plaza and fan favorite animated series Archer as well.

San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 19th – 22nd. Stay tuned to Fan Fest News for the latest out of SDCC 2018!
