Walkers Unite! ‘The Walking Dead’ to Return to Hall H for SDCC 2018

In light of all the news regarding Andrew Lincoln leaving and Lauren Cohan’s limited number of episodes in the ninth season of AMC’s The Walking Dead, I think we are due for some good news. Something to brighten your day…your week…your Summer!

Returning to the infamous Hall H, AMC and The Walking Dead has had a major presence during San Diego Comic-Con and this year will be no different.

There has been no confirmation as to the date and time of the panel, but it is suspected to occur on Friday with the Fear the Walking Dead panel immediately following.

Also, no information has been officially released as to which cast members will be in attendance. Past panels have brought us Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Michael Cudlitz, Christian Serratos, Josh McDermitt, Ross Marquand, Alanna Masterson, Khary Payton, and Emily Kinney. Joining them have been creator Robert Kirkman, previous showrunner Scott M. Gimple, and executive producers Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert and Greg Nicotero. With Gimple moving on to chief content officer, it is safe to assume that his successor, Angela Kang, will join that panelist this year.

With Lincoln and Cohan departing, 2018 will most likely be their last appearance for The Walking Dead at SDCC. We can also expect to see the world premiere of the season nine trailer.

With SDCC being only one month away, we should begin to hear confirmation within the next couple of weeks and we will keep you updated as information is released.

The ninth season is currently in production which began in May and concludes sometime in November.

No word yet regarding Andrew Lincoln’s future plans but we are sure he will take some well deserved time off to focus on his family.

Lauren Cohan has signed on to star in ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier alongside Scott Foley and The Walking Dead alum Tyler James Williams who played Noah. It is set to premiere sometime in 2019. To view the series’ official trailer, click HERE.

The Walking Dead returns in October 2018 and Fear the Walking Dead, which is currently in its mid-season hiatus, will return Sunday, August 12th.

San Diego Comic-Con is Thursday, July 19th through to Sunday, July 22nd.
