Just weeks ago, a group of photos made their way around social media showing off some new ink. It wasn’t just any ink either, it was a tattoo to symbolize a major part of pop culture.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been gearing up to celebrate 10 years and the original Avengers wanted to commemorate the big moment in a special way. Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr, and Chris Hemsworth got the tattoo but they also became the tattoo artist. Each Avenger helped to place the same ink on their artist, commemorating the big moment for him, as well.
One name is missing from the group, Mark Ruffalo decided not to get the tattoo and Renner said that in their group text, they made it a running joke. It goes without saying that the Avengers group text has to be the coolest thing ever.
Renner talked about it in a recent interview, as well as the tattoo. He explained a bit of the meaning behind it and why it was so important for them as a group.
While Hawkeye was missing from the adventures in Avengers: Infinity War, we will see him again in Avengers 4. Hopefully under a happy set of circumstances.
